ABOUT THE ARTIST
Bianca Lesaca is a Filipino visual artist who began her formative career as a commercial illustrator in the editorial, entertainment, and publishing industries.
She attended the College of Saint Benilde for her degree in Multimedia Arts, then later specialized in Illustration at the Savannah College of Art and Design in Hong Kong. She is a member of Ilustrador ng Kabataan (INK) and has illustrated books published in the Philippines and overseas since 2015.
In her practice, Bianca returns to traditional media as a space for emotional excavation and uninhibited exploration. Her abstract paintings allow her to venture in and out of contained narratives as she continues to create with her own voice.
